Second church arson in Clayton destroys Mount Calvary Baptist Church

It saddens me to see such senseless destruction. Pastor Sauls is a friend of my family and an honest, God-fearing man. I can only pray that God uses this destruction and from its ruins raises up a greater church. And I hope the culprit is caught before he harms more than just physical property.

Where’s the “watchdog” press on dealership closures?

The Auto Task Force is making decisions about the future of auto dealerships behind closed doors. They are not explaining why they demand that profitable Chrysler dealerships be closed next week. It makes no sense to anyone with an gram of brain matter. Statistical analysis shows that what party an dealer donated to in the last election cycle has a lot to do with who’s being made to close and who stays open.

One way to get to the bottom of this would be for the media to demand all papers, e-mail and other correspondence from the Auto Task Force, and not to take no for an answer. But will they do that? Don’t hold your breath. They don’t want to upset their god.

A new charge: Media liberals are racist

And they don’t even know it:

This week, Newsweek’s Robert Samuelson covers the month-old Pew Research Center study which found that “President Barack Obama has enjoyed substantially more positive media coverage than either Bill Clinton or George W. Bush during their first months in the White House.” The study — which examined over 1200 stories by the Washington Post, the New York Times, ABC, CBS, NBC, NewsHour, and Newsweek — found more than 40 percent favorable coverage for Obama, compared to Bush’s 22 percent and Clinton’s 27.

More significant than the percentage gap itself is the conclusion Samuelson reaches:

But the deeper explanation may be as straightforward as this: most journalists like Obama; they admire his command of language; he’s a relief after Bush; they agree with his agenda (so it never occurs to them to question basic premises); and they don’t want to see the first African-American president fail (emphasis added).

If Samuelson is correct, then the mainstream media is racist. And like most liberal racists, they don’t even know it.

Isn’t this the same thing Rush Limbaugh said about the sports media and Donovan McNabb?
