The First Pro-Transit Tax Ad?

A Piedmont Laureate program called Words on the Move will use transit bus placards to pose “thought-provoking” questions to the transit-riding public. The questions come from poet laureate Scott Huler. They will appear on all Chapel Hill Transit buses and on 12 Capital Area Transit buses. Among the examples given is this:

What would it cost if you drove the same distance?

How long do you think it will be before the Words on the Move program becomes part of a pro-transit tax campaign that will be pushed by Orange and Durham officials?

Scotty’s Hotties

Isn’t it great that a talented teenager from Garner can bring together a community like Scotty McCreery has! Scotty is now in the Final 3 of the American Idol singing competition, and he’ll be in the Triangle Saturday with AI cameras  alongside him. And yes, he has a cadre of young ladies who’ve branded themselves Scotty’s Hotties.
