A shameful performance
Posted September 13th, 2007 at 11:17 PM by Jon HamImagine it is September of 1943. The Allies have just invaded Italy and thousands of American lives have been lost in the Pacific, Sicily and North Africa.
Imagine that Wendell Willkie, fighting Thomas Dewey for the Republican nomination, gives a radio address in which he ridicules President Franklin Roosevelt and his administration of the war. Imagine too that he implies that Gen. Dwight Eisenhower can’t win in Europe and calls for America to turn tail and abandon its allies in the face of difficulty.
If you have trouble imagining Willkie doing such a thing, it’s no wonder. He threw his support behind his old 1940 electoral foe during World War II, feeling that partisanship stopped at the water’s edge. Think about that as you watch this shameful performance by John Edwards.

From a guest writer at the website of His Rottieness, about DemPres candidate John Edwards:
“You’re still a two-bit malpractice shyster that channels dead babies and panders juries into millions of dollar punitive damages, at the cost of good doctors’ careers. A left-wing socialist, frothing moon-bat that plays every class divisive card in the book without shame, while hiding behind the skirts of your wife’s unfortunate illness for insulation.â€
You know, I can’t think of a better description of this smooth little pustule than that.

I think comparing Iraq with our other wars is dubious (the attempt to equate the MoveOn ad with Ike). To suggest somehow that what we have done there (in Iraq) is even remotely equivalent to WWII just refutes the entire argument.
As for what Edwards actually says, I was quite impressed. He surprisingly knows his stuff. I am sensing that we have to watch out for him. He is far more electable than Hillary.

As a presidential candidate, Edwards has no more substance than a disspating cloud of vapor.
The brighter the sunlight, the faster he’ll fade. His only advantage to now is that he’s been largely ignored.
