John Edwards, totalitarian

Posted November 27th, 2007 at 11:33 AM by Jon Ham

That’s Bryan’s conclusion at HotAir.com, and it’s hard to disagree. Here’s what Edwards said in response to a reporter’s question about his health care plan (emphasis added):

When asked by a reporter if an individual decided they didn’t want healthcare Edwards quickly responded, “You don’t get that choice.”

Edwards wraps his intentions under the “mandating healthcare for every man woman and child” phrase, but that translates into government-ordered participation in a program guaranteed to be worse than what we’ve got now. Does the man think about what he says before saying it?

  1. Eric M. Weaver, Sr. Says:

Well, Jon, he thinks that he knows better than you. He also believes in making everyone a ward of the state, so that they will have more reason to grovel at the feet of him and his envisioned health care bureaucrats in order to get the health care that we need. In his mind, this forced health care paradigm is so much better than the voluntary exchange of merely purchasing health care with dollars that are legitimately earned.

Perhaps he is running for dictator, instead of president.

  2. Skyler the Weird Says:

If you don’t vote “right” or you express dissent for the Government and its policies much like Seinfeld’s Soup nazi Edwards will say, “No healthcare for You”.

Sounds to me like John Edwards wants to chip all of us and make us go to the government for everything.

Does his SSN end in “666″?
