Barbarians, Part whatever

According to some agencies, some of the protesters chanted: “Shame, shame on the UK”, “No tolerance – execution” and “Kill her, kill her by firing squad”.
One demonstrator told reporters that it was unacceptable to take a toy and call it Muhammad.
“We can’t accept it from anybody. Even if they can do that in Europe, they cannot do it here in Sudan. We ask our rulers and judges to review what they have said. Fifteen days is not enough.”
Hundreds of riot police were deployed but they did not break up the demonstration.
Makes you wonder what those liberal American Christian “leaders” were thinking when they asked Muslims for forgiveness the other day. Their letter is PC nonsense bathed in Western guilt. Bryan of HotAir wonders if they even read the “A Common Word Between Us and You” letter from 138 Muslim clerics to which they were responding:
It looks to me like the Christian leaders, many of whom are very influential in mainline and evangelical churches and denominations, just didn’t do their homework on the Islamic scholars’ letter and therefore assumed nothing but good intentions were built into it. The fact is, as I showed in that post, the Islamic scholars quoted Koranic verse that condemned Christians as deserving Allah’s wrath, so the Common Word letter amounted to a call to embrace Islam.
Bryan also points to a much more appropriate response to the “Common Word” letter, this one from the Barnabus Fund.
UPDATE: I mentioned yesterday that the Muslim American Society had at least made some efforts to criticize the Sudan’s actions in the teddy bear case. Bryan has also pointed out that Amnesty International’s Web site has no reference at all to the case.

If the Brits had any balls anymore (seems like Maggie Thatcher took most of them with her when she left office, and Tony Blair let what was left of them die), they’d make it really clear to the Sudanese government that if anything happens to Gillian Gibbons, then Sudan will soon be renamed to “Cratered, Uninhabited Wasteland”.
And what is wrong with people who utterly excuse the actions of militant Muslims and then apologize to them any time we do something they consider even a little bit offensive?

I think that the British SAS could send in a team to recapture the teacher in question. They could probably handle the local islamofacists without too much trouble. I am sure that they would want to be sent to meet allah and those 72 Virginians with dispatch.
We don’t need to worry about whether the uncivilized world is offended at us. And Sudan is most certainly the bunghole of the uncivilized world, to judge by the actions of the masses who want this poor teacher dead.

True, the SAS could definitely do something about it. But only if the British government, the elected politicians, had any guts. They are rapidly running out, from everything I’ve seen lately.
I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again: The President (whoever that may be in the future) needs to have a conference call with the leaders of the all of the Islamic nations and make it very, very clear to them that if any of their citizens are ever found to have participated in another 9/11-style terrorist attack, that the first city to be nuked will be Mecca. The second city/cities will be the capital(s) of the nations from which the terrorists hail. And after that, whatever else gets nuked would be at the President’s discretion.
Enough of us having to screw up OUR way of life with omnipresent security checkpoints, no water on planes, etc. because of a bunch of death-worshipping barbarians. If their so-called “religion of peace” espouses that going to the afterlife is something worth rushing into, then we should be happy to oblige them and help them get there sooner when they start threatening us on THIS plane of existence. If they are so keen on living in the Middle Ages, we can start to bomb them back to the Stone Age and then just stop bombing once they get to the Middle Ages.
