Why Does The Federal Government Want People To Be Dependent?

The federal food stamp program — known as SNAP — is encouraging people to sign up for taxpayer-funded benefits. The feds are not just seeking to make sure the truly needy  are helped, they’re actively ENCOURAGING people who may not need the assistance to sign up anyway. The Weekly Standard lays out the SNAP documents and you can see for yourself how the food stamp program is being marketed. It is stunning that the federal government WANTS more people to be dependent.

SNAP seems to be using fallacious Keynesian theory to bolster the program. They are claiming a 2x multiplier to their spending when actually there is a negative multiplier in times when both Government and Private have massive amounts of accumulated debt, keynesian spending tends to slow economic activity.
