There aren’t many people who have truly dedicated their lives to public service like Bill Friday has. He is part of North Carolina history. While he and I held differing views, I am thankful for his life and his service. On the several occasions I talked with him, he was a gentleman with a delightful twinkle in his eye. Rest in peace, Mr. Friday.
