Please Save Us From These Dastardly Rich People

They aren’t paying their fair share and, after all, they stepped on the 99% to get where they are. Government should really do something about these awful rich people who only care about themselves.

The Library of Congress today opened the first International Summit of the Book, a gathering of leaders in academia, libraries, culture and technology to discuss the powerful and crucial form of information transmittal. As the conference opened, attendee and longtime friend of reading David Rubenstein announced he is contributing $1.5 million to fund three new Library of Congress annual literacy awards over five years.

And this guy is a two-time offender. Look what perpetrated on the 99%  in 2010.

In another gesture of civic philanthropy, financier David M. Rubenstein has given the Library of Congress $5 million to support the National Book Festival, the library announced Thursday.
