This Will Be Fascinating To Watch

Republican Wake County school board member Chris Malone will leave office Dec. 31 to begin his term in the North Carolina House. That means the Wake board majority – Democrats – will have the votes to select the person they want to fill Malone’s seat. The News & Observer reports the law requires the candidate interviews to be held in public. And that will be fascinating to watch. How will board member Susan Evans react if/when another board member, or a candidate, says something she doesn’t agree with?

Funny how quite a few Republicans who served a brief time on the school board used it to get to higher office – Tedesco (failed) and now Malone. I thought they would have a greater commitment to Wake county children rather than their own political careers. If this were Democrats you would be complaining.
