The pendulum is swinging

Posted June 2nd, 2008 at 10:58 AM by Jon Ham

Maybe there is some hope that the West will not actually turn into “nations of pansies.” Some are seeing the rise of the retrosexual:

Once, men were simply men. But then feminists decided they were chauvinist pigs who didn’t spend enough time doing the dishes. So along came the guilt-ridden New Man, swiftly followed by sensitive, moisturising Metrosexual Man. Of course, women soon missed the whiff of testosterone and were calling for the return of Real Men. Now a new book, The Retrosexual Manual: How To Be A Real Man, has been published.

Some of the “rules” listed from this book are ridiculous, like men shouldn’t cook anything more sophisticated than noodles, but I think this book and the ultra-successful Dangerous Book for Boys are true indicators that the feminista-imposed cult of the metrosexual is atrophying.

    “Retrosexual”?

Screw that. On this question I will just quote Muddy Waters: I’m a man.

[...] Jon Ham cheers the return of the retrosexual. [...]
