Well, so much for that post-racial thing

Since John McCain and the Republicans weren’t bringing up race in this election, only competence, Obama himself had to do it:

“What they’re saying is ‘Well, we know we’re not very good but you can’t risk electing Obama. You know, he’s new, he doesn’t look like the other presidents on the currency, he’s a got a funny name.’”

And there are still more than 95 days to go. To paraphrase Bette Davis: Fasten your seatbelts, it’s going to be a bumpy ride.
