Not sounding very post-racial out there
Posted October 13th, 2008 at 6:22 PM by Jon HamCNN black reporter to black McCain reporter: Why aren’t you supporting Barack? Meanwhile, John James T. Harris is getting death threats from blacks and is being called a race traitor. Has Obama asked his supporters to calm down a bit, as McCain did? Nope.
And civil rights hero, but badly misguided, John Lewis likens John McCain to George Wallace. Mr. Lewis, I knew George Wallace, and John McCain is no George Wallace.

Either way, it’s bad. If Obama wins this election, I expect it will set race relations in this country back a good 50 years. He has amped up the racial aspect of the election in ways I never would have imagined.

Sorry, John Harris is an old Air Force buddy that I just got some info about after 40 years. Must have been on my mind.

Ah, and then we have McCain’s Volksmortgage brainstorm and Bush nationalizing the banks. I’d say National Socialism is breaking out all over in many unwelcome ways.
