The Obama administration is still calling it a “military coup,” even though the regime change was ordered by that country’s Supreme Court based on its Constitution. I know that little things like what a constitution actually says doesn’t swing much weight with the Obama camp, but it’s been a couple of months now and still our president hasn’t figured out what happened.

The upshot of this incompetence (or is it deliberate?) is that we are penalizing a country for trying to remain democratic, a country that didn’t allow a Chavez clone to run roughshod over its constitution and take over the country as a dictator. Gee, it’s almost like we’re trying to support our enemies.
