Poverty talk is expensive

Posted May 22nd, 2007 at 10:18 AM by Jon Ham

John “Two Americas” Edwards’ political tin ear keeps biting him in the behind. First there was the 28,000-square-foot house. Then came the $400 haircut. Then there was the assertion that he “wasn’t personally involved” in the haircut. And now it comes to light that he charged the University of California at Davis $55,000 for a speech … on poverty.

Has Hillary Clinton managed to get an undercover adviser on both Edwards’ and Obama’s campaigns?

UPDATE: I completely forgot about the hedge fund misstep, in which Edwards made nearly half a million bucks in order to study how financial markets relate to poverty.

UPDATE: I added the link to the UC Davis story. Sorry I forgot it earlier.

Don’t forget the Wal Mart posturing, followed by the “line cutting” incident to get a PS3 at Wal Mart

Bubba, welcome to Right Angles. And thanks for reminding me of those two incidents. There are just so many. And the hits will probably keep on coming.

And now John Edward’s own a piece of the pirate booty found in the Atlantic.
