Actually, I don’t. I posted on Nov. 5 about the media effort to hide Maj. Nidal Malik Hasan’s religion, as if his name would not be a pretty good clue.

Later in the evening I showed several of the most egregious examples of flacking for Islamists.

Still, most of the media, most notably The New York Times, The News & Observer, and the alphabet networks, beat the PC multicultural drum and cautioned against “jumping to conclusions.” Well, it turns out it wasn’t really a long jump. Today’s revelation that Hasan had business cards that identified him as a Soldier of Allah pretty much cinched it that he was on Nov. 5, when he committed his atrocities, a full-blown jihadist.

This may be disappointing and distressing to many media types, especially Evan Thomas of Newsweek, but there it is. The media are supposed to report the facts and use logic, not wishful thinking, in covering stories. Would that this were the case.
