Markos Moulitsas, the crackpot who started the lefty hate site Daily Kos, likes to call the Kossacks the new center of politics in America. Center used to mean moderate, but check this out and see how “moderate” the folks are at YearlyKos, the annual confab of Nutroots.

As the Military and Progressives panel came to an end, a young man in uniform stood up to argue that the surge was working, and cutting down on Iraqi casualties. The moderator largely freaked out. When other members of the panel tried to answer his question, he demanded they “stand down.” He demanded the questioner give his name, the name of his commander, and the name of his unit. And then he closed the panel, no answer offered or allowed, and stalked off the stage.

Meanwhile, in Washington, the “new center” Democrats have turned Congress into a Third World legislature, with open cheating on votes now acceptable. Read the accounts of what happened last night and tell me you’re not embarrassed. Where is Nancy Pelosi on this issue? Does she not feel a duty to respond to this naked attempt to subvert Congress? I guess not.
